Trailering tech for 2021

The trailering length indicator reveals obstacles in the way when you’re trying to change lanes. You’ll be warned with a jack-knife alert if the connection between the 1500 and the trailer is misaligned. It is easier to hitch gooseneck/fifth-wheel trailers with the new cargo bed zoom view and bed hitch guidance, new features part of the enhanced cargo bed view. Rear side view enhancement means you’ll get a better perspective of what’s on the right and left sides of your truck when you’re moving backwards.

Increased capacities

Two engines offer increased towing capacities on the 2021 Silverado 1500. On the crew cab/short box model powered by the 2.7-liter turbo engine, you’ll have a towing capacity of 9,300 pounds. The regular cab/long box can tow 9,600 pounds. With the 3.0-liter Duramax® turbodiesel engine under the hood, the 2021 Silverado 1500 can tow an extra 1,900 pounds.

Versatile tailgate

The Multi-Flex Tailgate features six functions and can handle a weight of 375 pounds. You can configure the tailgate using your key fob or directly at the tailgate.
