New for 2022, the Silverado boasts a more powerful standard 2.7-liter turbo engine, and the available 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel can tow an extra 4,000 pounds (for a total of 13,300 pounds).
The new-look exterior of the 2022 Silverado includes new grille and front fascia designs to go with available daytime running lamps with animated light sequences that activate when you approach the truck or walk away from it.
Inside, the 2022 Silverado is available with a new 13.4-inch touch screen and 12.3-inch digital cluster, plus built-in, voice-activated access to convenient features like Google Assistant and Google Maps. The center console has also been redesigned to be more useful.
For the first time ever, the Silverado will be available with cutting-edge Super Cruise driving tech. This system even lets you tow a trailer while driving hands-free, and it’s fully integrated with the Silverado’s many other advanced towing features.
Perhaps most exciting of all, there’s an all-new ZR2 off-road trim in the 2022 Silverado lineup. This truck delivers 420 horsepower with its 6.2-liter V8, comes equipped with a specially tuned suspension and Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, and shows off rugged features like a skid plate package and 33-inch off-road tires.

The all-new Chevy Silverado EV is expected to debut as a 2023 model with sales of the electric truck to start in early 2024. Here is what we know about the first-ever all-electric Silverado truck’s predicted range, power, and features.
The Silverado EV will be equipped with General Motors’ Ultium battery technology that has a substantial battery pack capacity of up to 200 kWh. This first-of-its-kind capacity is expected to elicit a projected driving range of up to 400 miles per charge. However, range will vary based on how you drive and what you tow.
Experts are predicting that the Silverado EV will have one, two, or three electric motors — depending on trim level. You can look forward to combined ratings as high as 1,000 horsepower as a result. Though it have not released full specs, Chevrolet touts the Ultium platform will warrant “exhilarating torque.”
While believed to likely have standard all-wheel-drive, the Silverado EV is confirmed to feature a four-wheel steering system. This system will allow faster, tighter turning responsiveness and better performance over rough terrain. We also know the electric truck will sport 24-inch wheels.
Our team at Amistad Motors in Fort Stockton, Texas, will keep you updated as more information becomes available on the upcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado EV.
