What We Know About the 2023 Chevy Silverado EV

The all-new Chevy Silverado EV is expected to debut as a 2023 model with sales of the electric truck to start in early 2024. Here is what we know about the first-ever all-electric Silverado truck’s predicted range, power, and features.

The Silverado EV will be equipped with General Motors’ Ultium battery technology that has a substantial battery pack capacity of up to 200 kWh. This first-of-its-kind capacity is expected to elicit a projected driving range of up to 400 miles per charge.[1] However, range will vary based on how you drive and what you tow.

Experts are predicting that the Silverado EV will have one, two, or three electric motors — depending on trim level. You can look forward to combined ratings as high as 1,000 horsepower as a result. Though it have not released full specs, Chevrolet touts the Ultium platform will warrant “exhilarating torque.”

While believed to likely have standard all-wheel-drive, the Silverado EV is confirmed to feature a four-wheel steering system. This system will allow faster, tighter turning responsiveness and better performance over rough terrain. We also know the electric truck will sport 24-inch wheels.
