The all-new Chevy Silverado EV is expected to debut as a 2023 model with sales of the electric truck to start in early 2024. Here is what we know about the first-ever all-electric Silverado truck’s predicted range, power, and features.
The Silverado EV will be equipped with General Motors’ Ultium battery technology that has a substantial battery pack capacity of up to 200 kWh. This first-of-its-kind capacity is expected to elicit a projected driving range of up to 400 miles per charge. However, range will vary based on how you drive and what you tow.
Experts are predicting that the Silverado EV will have one, two, or three electric motors — depending on trim level. You can look forward to combined ratings as high as 1,000 horsepower as a result. Though it have not released full specs, Chevrolet touts the Ultium platform will warrant “exhilarating torque.”
While believed to likely have standard all-wheel-drive, the Silverado EV is confirmed to feature a four-wheel steering system. This system will allow faster, tighter turning responsiveness and better performance over rough terrain. We also know the electric truck will sport 24-inch wheels.
