Chevy Introduces First-Ever Silverado ZR2 Bison

Chevy Introduces Silverado ZR2 Bison | Amistad Motors LLP | Stockton, Texas

If you need a can-do-it-all truck, Chevy is checking all the boxes with its first-ever Silverado ZR2 Bison. You can’t go wrong with this impressive variant when it comes to work and play. Here is a closer look at a few of the Silverado ZR2 Bison’s highlights.

Off-road partnership

The all-new Silverado ZR2 Bison was designed with expert input from American Expedition Vehicles. AEV is known for its off-road knowledge, and the Silverado ZR2 Bison takes off-grid adventures to new heights. It is equipped with specialized equipment such as a factory-tuned suspension, underbody protection, and steel bumpers to handle any journey. The ZR2 Bison rests on 18-inch AEV wheels and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT Tires.

“The Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison is the ultimate half-ton truck for backcountry adventures,” said AEV CEO and Founder Dave Harriton.

Off-road dimensions

The Silverado ZR2 Bison may draw inspiration from its sibling, the ZR2, but it excels in form and function. Instead of a 31.8-degree approach angle in the front, the ZR2 Bison offers 32.5 degrees. Instead of a 23.3-degree departure angle, the ZR2 Bison delivers 23.4 degrees. The ground clearance of 11.2 inches is standard for both the ZR2 Bison and the ZR2.

Nearly 85,000 Silverado EV Work Trucks Have Been Ordered

2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV | Ft. Stockton, TX

Since announcing the production of the all-new electric Chevrolet Silverado EV, General Motors has made nearly 85,000 Silverado EV WT reservations for roughly 370 companies. To gain customers’ confidence and ease the transition to an electric fleet, a team of GM Fleet Experts has become the main source of solution-based assistance. These experts are listening to their customers’ concerns and taking note of what people want.

Consider this proactivity a foreshadowing of what the Chevy Silverado EV WT has to offer its future truck owners, in the name of trust and reliability. The Silverado EV’s advanced technologies are backed by Ultifi, a Linux-based software platform that enables fast and frequent software updates — so you don’t have to worry about tech bugs bogging down your workflow.

Speaking of innovative tech, GM’s Ultium battery platform optimizes the Silverado EV’s handling experience, even when trailering, thanks to its well-engineered weight distribution and low center of gravity. The Ultium Platform also means you’ll get up to a 400-mile driving range, when fully charged.[1] GM is further easing customers’ concerns by offering various charging options, like standard DC Fast Charging capability.

To top it all off, the Silverado EV WT has the muscle to back up its electrical prowess. EV WT models will be able to tow between 8,000 to 20,000 pounds,[2] crank out 510 horsepower, and reach up to 615 lb-ft of torque.[3]

If you want to learn more about why so many others already trust GM to build their electric fleet of work trucks, contact our friendly team at Amistad Motors in Fort Stockton, Texas.

EPA estimates not yet available.

[2] 8,000 to 20,000 pounds towing capability: Available on model year 2025 WT. Based on preliminary GM testing. Actual production model may vary. May require optional trailering equipment to achieve maximum capacity. Maximum trailering ratings are intended for comparison purposes only. Before you buy a vehicle or use it for trailering, carefully review the Trailering section of the Owner’s Manual. The trailering capacity of your specific vehicle may vary. The weight of passengers, cargo and options or accessories may reduce the amount you can trailer.
